Biography Suizan, Miki (1887 - 1957)
After he had been a student with Takeuchi Seihō, Japan's most famous 20th century Nihonga painter, Miki Suizan was a regular contributor to the Bunten, Teiten, Shin Bunten and Nitten (government-sponsored) exhibitions. In the 1920s the publisher Sōto Shōtarō published 14 woodblock prints designed by him. |
