Biography Hiyoshi, Mamoru (? - ?)

Not much is known about Hiyoshi Mamoru. Helen Merritt reveals that he was born in Tokyo and graduated at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts and that he studied with Okada Saburôsuke (1869-1939), one of the really important artists of his day. Apart from being a painter he made a series of woodblock prints for Kyoto Hanga-in in the 1950s.
