Biography Watanabe, Ikuharu (1895 - 1975)

Watanabe Ikuharu was born in Nagoya. Already in 1918 he entered paintings in the 12th Bunten. Between 1922-25 he attended the Kyoto Municipal School of Painting, where he was taught by the great painter Yamamoto Shunkyo (1871-1933). The rest of his life he was successful as a painter. His woodblock prints are few and rare.
