Biography Ōmoto, Yasushi (1926 - ?)
Yasushi Ōmoto was born in Hokkaido, and Hokkaido has remained the main focus of his work ever since he started exhibiting with the Nihon Hanga Kyōkai in the 1950s. His teacher was Fumio Kitaoka, and he became a member of the Nihon Hanga Kyōkai in 1973; he became its main representative in Hokkaido. In 1980 he travelled to USA, where he demonstrated woodblock printing techniques. |
