Biography Idô, Masao (1945 - )

Born in Manchuria, Masao Idô did not associate himself with other Sosaku Hanga artists. He is not an experimental artist, but limits himself to traditional Japanese subjects, especially landscapes. His work is recognizable because of his carving style, which leaves a lot of small dots and squiggles.
